What you'll need:
- Cut cord into twelve 5' lengths & one 2' length
- One wood dowel
- A hook to hang your project (or tape to table)
- Scissors
Knots used:
- Lark's head knot
- Square knot
- Alternating square knot
- Double half hitch knot (DHH)
Tie the both side of the wooden dowel with the 2' cord
Tape the cord to the table
Attach individual cords with lark's head knot
You'll now have 24 working ropes
Number them 1 -24 from left to right
Find cords 1,2,3,4
Tie 1 square knot (knowing with 1 & 4)
Remember each square knot is 2 steps
Repeat with cord 5-24
Re-number your cords
Tie a square knot with cord 3-6
Repeat with 7-22
Re-number your cords
Tie a square knot with 1 - 4
Repeat with 5 - 24
Repeat with steps above
Re-number & repeat with steps above
We are ready to make decreasing alternating square (ASK) knots
Decreasing by one square knot per row
Decreasing by one square knot per row
Decreasing by one square knot per row
Decreasing by one square knot per row
Decreasing by one square knot per row
Decreasing by one square knot per row
Decreasing by one square knot per row
* Ready to make diagonal DHH
Tie a DHH with 23 & 24
Repeat with 22 to 13
Tie a DHH with 1 & 2
Repeat with 3 - 12
Trim the end of rope to desired length
